Broccoli & Raisin Salad

Spring has sprung. It is a little chilly in the South this morning, but the birds are chirping & the sun is shinning. Yea! It’s definitely going to be a getting out to the park with the dogs & taking a long walk day.

This is a favorite salad to share with friends. This recipe is from our 4th of July Book. Take it to the next picnic or BBQ you go to & you will be a hit! Enjoy

Broccoli Salad 3

1 12oz bag of broccoli florets, chopped
1 med red onion, chopped
1 c raisins
1 c shelled sunflower seeds
1 c mayonnaise
1/2 c sugar
2 Tbsp vinegar
1 c bacon, cooked & crumbled (optional)

In a lg salad bowl, combine broc, onion, raisins & seeds (& bacon if you choose). Toss well & set aside.
In a sm bowl, mix mayo, sugar & vinegar. Whisk until mix well.
Pour mayo over salad & toss again.
Cover & refrigerate until ready to serve.
This is so yummy, just writing it makes me want to run to the store to buy everything &
make it for lunch!
